Charles Ward has been an entrepreneur in the luxury marketing and communications industry for over 30 years. His 27-year-old Texas-based company, Idea Works, Inc., consults on marketing communications, sports sponsorship, and strategic alliances with a specialty in Wealth Marketing.
The company has designed sponsorship programs and marketing partnerships for Bombardier Business Aircraft, Tiffany & Co, Cartier, Lamborghini, Bentley Motors, Fraser Yachts, Marsh, KPMG, Ford, Motorola, American Express and the States of Hawaii and Texas. In the past five years, Idea Works, Inc. has contracted to represent the leading polo clubs in the US and Mexico in designing and obtaining sponsorship programs.
The firm publishes the largest circulation annual polo magazine in the US, Polo Las Colinas. In 2005 Idea Works’ client Bombardier was named the Outstanding Corporate Sponsor of the Year by Polo Player’s Edition magazine, the publication for US polo players.
Mr. Ward has hosted a weekly radio segment “the Lord of Luxury” on the Biz Radio Network, Houston and Dallas, featuring interviews on private business jets, exotic cars, exquisite jewelry, exclusive private parties and five star resorts. Ward is a frequent guest on XM Satellite Radio as well.
He also serves as a speaker for the Luxury Marketing Council with offices throughout the world.
Katie Turpin has responsibilities to make sure that client activation programs and special events run smoothly. She has extraordinary skills of coordination and production management. Ms. Turpin has created and published one of the largest circulation annual polo club magazines in the US, Polo Las Colinas, over the past three years.
She regularly interfaces with clients at Bombardier Business Aircraft, Tiffany & Co, Maybach, Fraser Yachts, Lamborghini Dallas and Beverly Hills and many others. Her coordination and sponsorship management of special events includes Jets & Jewels, Jets & Jazz and 2008 Superbowl Touchdown Lounge, all in private airport hangars.
Anya Babbitt opened the Northeast Development office of Idea Works, Inc, located in Rye, New York. Ms. Babbitt is dedicated to luxury brand marketing and luxury sports development with emphasis on polo and yacht racing. She has created innovative sponsorship programs that provide memorable hospitality and effective Return On Investment business development to real estate, financial, fashion, hospitality, and automotive clients.
As an active member of the New York and Boston Luxury Marketing Councils, Ms. Babbitt's rolodex of contacts is enormous. She is well known in polo communities of Palm Beach and the Northeast.
Dave Mathews is a consumer product expert and dynamic public speaker specializing in the convergence of digital entertainment devices. Dave holds more than two-dozen U.S. patents and has appeared on more than 300 television shows. His television experience includes a five year stint as co-host of Net Talk Live! – the first live interactive triple cast (a syndicated television, radio and Internet broadcast). Dave is also a regular contributor to Ziff Davis' PC Magazine, O'Reilly's MAKE and other consumer-tech outlets as well as industry publications.
Previously, Dave served as the Forward Thinker at Sling Media, identifying consumer trends leading to the development of the latest in digital media products. Prior to Sling, Dave was handpicked by the former chairman of Radio Shack as the Director, Product Innovation to develop their modern home strategy. Before joining Radio Shack, Dave was co-founder of Digital:Convergence – creator of the CueCat - a first-ever consumer barcode reader, distributed through Forbes, Wired, Parade and Nielsen Media publications.
